Hollingsworth Insurance Services, LLC
Art Hollingsworth has been in the insurance business for 45 years. He began his career in 1971 as an agent with The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies. After serving a clientele in Sonoma County's Rohnert Park, which grew from zero to over 3,000 policies in 11 years, Farmers made Hollingsworth the district manager in Marin County.
During his fifteen years as district manager Hollingsworth increased the agency force from 15 to 25; policies-in-force from 8,000 to over 35,000; premium collected from $6 million to over $25 million; and profitability from about $500,000 annually to an average of $3 million annually. He retired from Farmers June 30, 1997.
Hollingsworth opened the doors of his wholesale insurance brokerage on September 1, 1997, to be "part of the solution" for direct writing agents with the need to place profitable business no longer underwritten by their direct writing company.
